By now you’ve probably heard of the gender pay gap. It gets a lot of attention on Equal Pay Day.This year, Equal Pay Day was March 21, as that’s how far into 2021 the average American woman had to work (in addition to working all of 2020) to make as much money as the average American man earned in 2020.

Join Stephanie Anderson, Vice President, Human Resources of Meridian Clinical Research as we dive into this extremely important topic at the beautiful and historic Milkweed Yoga event space in Havelock.

Call For Committee Members: Conference Co-Chair

EventLNK is Looking for our next Dynamic Conference Chair or Co-Chair. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced conference planner to create our 2022 Plan On It experience. EventLNK is Lincoln's largest association of event industry professionals delivering monthly education and networking opportunities. This is a volunteer position, with the flexibility for you to build your own conference team while working with our Board and Executive team to support your needs.

Qualifications:

  1. 3 plus years as a conference, tradeshow or continuing education planner
  2. Familiarity with CVENT or other top industry online registration tools (not just eventbrite or zoom)
  3. Be able to show examples of past work on conferences or continuing education where you were in a management role for the event and not just supporting staff.
  4. Great communication and leadership skills!
  5. Able to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people with various backgrounds and experience.

We are accepting applications for this high profile position within our organization from February 1 - 28, 2021. We will respond to all that apply . For those invited to interview, these will take place the first week in March.

Call For Speakers

Calling All Event Industry Professionals!

EventLNK, Lincoln’s largest group of professional event planners and suppliers would like to welcome event industry professionals to submit content for an open call for speakers and presenters for 2020. Each submission will be vetted by EventLNK’s executive board and matched to our upcoming schedule by topic. This includes our upcoming 2020 inaugural event industry conference.

We are looking for innovative content covering a variety of topics geared to both the seasoned event professional along with those in our industry just beginning their journey in events.

Multiple topic submissions are encouraged!  However, each topic must be submitted in an individual request with complete information in order to be considered.
